Lisa Singer joined the firm in 1998 after several years practicing civil litigation in law firms in Washington, D.C. and (later) Birmingham.  She has also practiced in the litigation department of an automobile insurance company. Lisa has represented clients in state and federal courts across Alabama in matters involving insurance defense, insurance coverage and bad faith, construction defects, commercial transportation, and business torts.


Lisa was born in New York, grew up in New Jersey, but calls Birmingham home. She earned an English degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.


Lisa is a founding committee member of Sebastian’s RunWalk for a Cure, which has put on an annual 5k fundraiser for pediatric neuro-oncology research at Children’s of Alabama since 2009. She serves on the Board of Directors for South City Theatre and is a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage children and loves to hike, kayak, read, and attend live music and theater performances.
